2023 Branch Skills Test Submissions
Good Morning,
We are now taking submissions for the 2023 YPOTY Branch Skills Tests from our Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors.
The branch skills tests are quick-fire events consisting of simple skills tests focused on Plumbers/Gasfitters core competencies.
Please email michelle.bingham@plumbingworld.co.nz with your Branch level skills test for consideration, and please include the following:
- WHAT/HOW: A detailed diagram and process of what your skills test is and how it will work.
- TIMING: Optimal timeframe to complete test. Tests are to be no more than 5 minutes in duration, including introduction and overview.
- MARKING CRITERIA: Any specific criteria to help with building the marking schedule, such as time brackets etc
- FOCUS: A focus on categories such as speed/accuracy, system construction, problem solving, servicing/product knowledge.
Submissions are due no later than 3PM, FRIDAY 24th March 2023
Does your test require a power drill/driver? Milwaukee have kindly offered loan tools, so please let us know if you require one for your test.
Once approved, you will be asked to create 2 sets of your test (A third set is encouraged in case of breakages etc).
In 2023 we are asking all sponsors to manage the transportation of their own branch skills tests and banners between their allocated branch events. Please bear this in mind when building your skills tests.
The YPC team will continue to manage the logistics of all Regional Final and National Final equipment.
